Birth Month Flowers & Their Meaning
One of the loveliest ways to surprise someone on their birthday is a flower delivery, but why not add some extra personalization; why not send someone their birth month flowers?
Birth month flowers have their own special meanings which can truly help to make your loved ones feel extra special on their big day.
The language of flowers is said to have been first discovered in 1718 when the wife of the British ambassador to Constantinople, Lady Mary Wortley, wrote a letter expounding on the “Secret Language of Flowers” that she had discovered during her visits to Turkey.
The French created their own dictionary in 1819 when Louise Cortambert, writing under the pen name ‘Madame Charlotte de la Tour’, wrote Le langage des Fleurs. In 1884, Kate Greenaway published The Language of Flowers, with these definitions of each flower.
Let’s jump into birth month flowers and their corresponding meanings.
